Kids and teens have the opportunity to be active, build confidence, learn new skills and make new friends in sports at the Y. Youth sports are a fun and engaging way to learn important life lessons, including positive competition, fair play, the value of participation over winning, team-building, positive self-image and respect for others.

Youth Pickleball
Pickleball is BACK! This fast-paced racket sport combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis to create a new and fun experience! Participants will receive instruction from the Pickleball Ambassador of Vernon County.
Sessions will run monthly, with practices on Thursdays from 3:30-5 pm. Students can ride the bus straight to the YMCA after school. Equipment will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring their paddles.

Youth Volleyball
Bump, Set Spike! Learn the exciting, fast-paced game of volleyball with the Osage Prairie YMCA! Kids in 3rd-6th Grades will develop essential volleyball skills while enjoying healthy competition and teamwork through drills and scrimmaging.

Tridents Swim Team
Dive in and try it out! Our Trident’s Swim Team is where kids ages 5-18 can work on strokes, build endurance, and can participate in competitive swim meets.
Youth Basketball
Dribble, shoot, score! YMCA Basketball introduces kids to the basic skills of the sport in a fun and positive environment.

The OPY Volleyball Club is holding open tryouts for girls who aspire to thrive in a competitive environment! Our program helps competitors develop their skills under the direction of our highly qualified coaching staff. The OPY Volleyball Club is a member of the Heart of America (HOA) region of USA Volleyball.
